Yangliuqing New Year paintings - the gaudy, auspicious prints that decorated every northern home for the New Year - come from this town, and the society keeps the craft alive on original blocks. Visitors can watch woodcutters, printers, and painters color each sheet by hand, then buy prints and scrolls from the workshop store.

The famous 'fish and child' compositions make striking gifts, and the society also runs hands-on printing sessions where you pull your own copy. It is colorful, storied, and one of the few places where an entire folk art tradition works under one roof.
