Cycle Xiamen's coastal ring road - 43km of sea views, beaches, and the island's best air.
Huandao Road rings Xiamen's eastern coast, and the cycling path along it is the island's best outdoor day: long beaches, wind-sculpted palms, and the sea on one side the whole way. Shared bikes rent for pocket change at every station.
The classic ride is the eastern 20km from White City beach to the International Sculpture Garden. Go in the late afternoon and stop for the sunset at any beach - they are all the postcard.
Best for: A coastal ride through the postcards of Xiamen.
