Yunxiang Chang'an

Yunxiang Chang'an - 'clouds thinking of Chang'an' - is one of Xi'an's best-reviewed hanfu experience studios, named after Li Bai's most famous line. Pick your dynasty, and the stylists take over: layers of embroidered silk, elaborate hairpieces, and full period makeup, roughly two hours of transformation for a 500-yuan package.\n\nThen you walk out into the city that wears the same costume: the Datang Everbright City promenade, the City Wall, or the Small Wild Goose Pagoda next door. Photographers are available, but the phone photos are already spectacular. Foreigners are warmly welcomed - the staff are used to guests who cannot speak Chinese and will pose you like Tang princesses anyway.
