Yulong River Bamboo Rafting

The Li River cruise is the famous one; the Yulong is the peaceful one. Here the rafts are traditional bamboo poles, the water is shallow and clear, and the karst peaks drift by at walking pace, interrupted only by water buffalo and weirs to slide over.

Book the middle section (from the old bridge) for the best balance of scenery and calm. The poler is usually a farmer doing a side gig - tip them, take your shoes off, and let the day dissolve.
