The Mandarin Oriental's spa occupies a full floor above the river, with a thermal suite (sauna, steam, vitality pools) that alone justifies the visit. Treatments blend traditional Chinese medicine with Western technique, and therapists are exceptional.
Non-guests are welcome. The couples' suite with Bund views is a splurge worth taking.
Best for: A half-day of pure restoration above the Bund.
