Enshi Grand Canyon
Enshi, Enshi
A 100-kilometer karst canyon with a skywalk over the abyss - Hubei's great outdoors showpiece.
Enshi Grand Canyon cuts 100 kilometers through karst, its cliffs hiding waterfalls, cloud bridges, and the famous 60-meter glass walkway suspended over the gorge. It is the biggest natural spectacle in central China.
Two full days is ideal: one for the canyon's upper rim, one for the lower trails and the cliff stairway. The Tujia villages inside the park serve the local sour-soup hotpot that fuels the climb.
Best for: Hubei's grand canyon, with a walkway over the abyss.
